Maria Cristina Falls ~ Iligan City ~ Waterfall Warrior

Maria Cristina Falls
Location: Iligan
Type and height: Plunge/ 98 meters

From Tinago falls we headed straight to the well-known Maria Cristina falls. Maria Cristina falls was one of the very first waterfalls I have known reading her in my primary school year on text books. It is to no avail that its grandeur falls in line with other Philippine must see destinations like the Banaue Rice terraces in Ifugao and Mt. Mayon in Bicol.

It is another privilege for me to see another thought of destination is in its true colors!

As you alight on the entrance gate of Maria Cristina falls accomplish necessary fees and aboard the shuttle that will take you to the plant where the view deck is located. Authorities require everyone to leave their stuff behind and to just bring the essentials for security purposes.  The shuttle is roughly 10 minutes along forested area. Watch out as Maria Cristina falls will be in front of you in no time!

From the shuttle stop a wooden stair case will lead you to the plant where you have to climb another three floors to have the best view of Maria Cristina falls.

Swimming is not allowed.
