Dalipuga Falls
Location: Iligan City
Type and height: Horse tail/ 8 meters*
Visiting three waterfalls in half a day is very possible here in Iligan City. I came from Pampam and Kalubihon falls and my next stop is Dalipuga falls. From the highway one can easily take a habal-habal or a sidecar, also called a “tri-sikad”, to the jump off point. From there it’s a leisure trek of 10-15 minutes to reach Dalipuga Falls.
Dalpuga falls stands roughly 8 meters which acquires descending waters that maintains contact with the rocks most of the time before it lunges on its 4 feet deep catch basin.
In a comfortable setting the basin can fit around 7 people. Thus, if you’re planning to visit on the weekends it is best to arrive early to avoid the crowd.
I was alone and had the waterfalls all for myself.
1.) From the city proper take a Jeepney bound to Dalipuga. Alight at the Dalipuga Brgy. Hall (Php 14.00)
2.) From here hire a habal-habal or a “tri-sikad” and get off at the jump off point of Dalipuga falls. Tell the driver that you’re heading to Dalipuga falls. (Php 20.00 to 30.00)
3.) Ask the locals where the trail starts. Follow the main path, trail is straight forward, and this will lead you to Dalipuga falls.
